Mad Cowes Clothing

Background

The Mad Cowes brand culture evolved as an après sailing brand during Cowes Week in 1997. That summer 2 post grad students, James Haxton and PJ Scott, came to Cowes and sold T shirts and other clothing emblazoned with ‘Mad Cowes’.

Jumping forward a few years, the ownership changed but the fun nature of the brand remained; by choosing to no longer operate from a shop Lucy Ward wanted Mad Cowes to live online, and at the many events that take place all over UK.  In fact, Lucy re-launched the brand at Badminton Horse Trials.

Our Solution

We built Mad Cowes its own shopping system;  dissatisfied with the clunky and counter-intuitive shopping systems on the market we programmed one that would be easy to use as well as expandable should the website even need to grow.

As the client ran a Sage accounting system we chose to have SagePay (then Protx) handle the online payments, so that Lucy's accounts package could simply download the transactions.  Can't hurt to make book keeping a little less onerous can it?

Existing photography was out of date at best, so we organised a photo shoot at a local estate;  photography produced for the launch can be viewed by following the link at the bottom of the page.
